About Us

Welcome! We’re two dedicated reading specialists—and moms—who are passionate about helping young children become confident, successful readers. With over 10 years of experience each in early childhood education, we bring both professional expertise and a nurturing, family-centered approach to everything we do.

We’ve spent our careers supporting diverse learners in a variety of educational settings, including working closely with students who need individualized support. We have extensive experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), as well as leading collaborative meetings with families and educators to ensure each child gets the support they need.

Our literacy classes focus on foundational reading skills—like phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency—using evidence-based strategies that are tailored to each child’s unique learning style. We believe in making reading fun, approachable, and empowering.

As moms, we understand the importance of a warm, supportive environment where kids feel safe to grow and thrive. We’re excited to partner with families to nurture a lifelong love of reading—one child at a time.

Learning to read can be a frustrating experience for many children. I love breaking the process down into clear, manageable steps and watching as children grow into confident, proud readers. Often, gaps in a child's foundational knowledge can make progress difficult. Through informal assessments, I identify and fill these gaps, providing the targeted instruction each child needs to move forward.

With over ten years of experience teaching reading in the classroom—primarily with children from three years old through second grade—I know the expectations at each grade level. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching Reading and am formally trained in the Wilson Reading System. Additionally, I have training in Orton-Gillingham and Sounds in Motion.

Colleen Sullivan

I am a dedicated educator with over a decade of experience supporting young learners in the classroom. For five of those years, I had the joy of teaching kindergarten, where I developed a deep appreciation for early childhood education and the foundational skills that shape lifelong learning.

In addition to classroom teaching, I’ve spent several years working as an elementary school resource teacher, helping students with diverse needs reach their educational goals. I am a certified Level 1 Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner and bring extensive expertise in structured literacy instruction to my work.

I focus on creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe, seen, and excited to learn. I especially love watching students grow as readers and communicators—whether they’re learning to recognize letters or sharing their first stories. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a child realize how far they’ve come. I believe in meeting each child where they are and helping them discover what they’re capable of.
